Jason Osborn

Jason is a Costs Lawyer and Advocate and Fellow of the Association of Law Costs Draftsmen.

Jason has had the privilege of working with some of Europe’s leading lawyers for nearly a quarter of a century. Jason was part of the costs team at Lovell’s London Office before joining leading international law firm DLA Piper as their Litigation Group Costs Manager. Jason has provided advice and assistance in some of the largest costs litigation including disputed sums in excess of £20 million.  

As well as extensive commercial litigation experience Jason has been involved in high value Aviation and Marine work particularly in his work with Messrs Beaumont and Son (now incorporated into Clyde and Co).

Jason is a leading costs advocate in both the High Court and County Court. He was assigned as a Court appointed expert by the Technology and Construction Court for a costs trial proceeding over a number of months.

Martin Cox

Martin started his career with leading practice Irwin Mitchell before spending 14 years with the international law firm DLA Piper where he was the National Costs Manager for their Insurance Division.

Martin’s expertise in the insurance arena has seen him involved in many of the leading insurance costs cases providing advice on complex funding options and insurance products.

Martin advanced many of the complex costs disputes over the last ten years and advised leading insurance firms, agents and lawyers in relation to costs claims, management and recovery.

Michael D Smith

Having secured a law degree in 1998 Michael commenced his career in law. Michael worked within the Northwest on preparation of cases for trial. Michael developed a niche in complex high value costs case management very often grossing up to £2 million.

Michael commenced work with the Costsmanager team in 2009 and his extensive legal background has aided his development within the organisation.
